NATIVE HOTELS: VILLA ST GEORGE

A colonial villa in Ouidah, Benin, is reborn as Villa Saint-Georges. A boutique hotel of seven rooms and suites inviting guests to stay within a preserved heritage of shaded galleries, timber pergolas and a central patio.

COBLOC Architecture retained the original wooden joinery, shutters and sun protection devices, refreshing the warm-toned facades and exposed woodwork to restore the colonial spirit of the place into a contemporary and sustainable experience.
